Castellan is a beautiful black 8 year old Trakehner stallion by the premium ATA stallion Tanzeln *Ps*out of Cassiopia by Happy Hour. He is approved ISR Oldenburg.
This young horse has excellent balance, freedom of movement and 3 great gaits with an exceptional canter. He has a super work ethic and loves to learn and improve. Trained and ridden by Andrew Palmer, Royal Palm Farm, he evented as a 5 yo, completing the 2016 season by finishing Champion Area 3 Novice and Champion, American Trakehner Association, Novice Eventing. In 7 events, he consistently put in dressage tests in the twenties, won 3 events and earned enough points to be placed 4th on the USEA national Novice leaderboard.
He is currently showing 3rd and 4th level dressage with Bryana Smith, a young amateur rider, and on 4/6/2019 won show high-point with a 76% for his 3rd level freestyle at the Venice, FL dressage show at FoxLea Farm. The plan is to be at PSG with super scores by year end.
He is not spooky, loves new things and new places and has a great temperament. He trailers well and is good with the farrier.
Castellan's sire Tanzeln *Ps* is currently showing I-1 and Castellan has inherited his sire's work ethic, great balance and canter and wonderful temperament. Castellan's dam, Cassiopia showed through training level with great rideability before becoming a brood mare and she is the dam of one approved stallion. Castellan inherited great gaits from both his sire and his dam and the gaits are getting even more impressive under saddle.
